Catering

Meals at Eton End are provided by Sodexo, one of the country’s leading independent school catering companies.   The menus are based on “Healthwise”, Sodexo’s nutrition, health and wellbeing philosophy. Sodexo sources and promotes the use of seasonal, sustainably grown or raised products wherever possible. They support local suppliers and certification marques such as Red Tractor, MSC, LEAF and RSPCA Freedom Food.

Ms Shirley Innes leads the school’s catering team and is involved in cross-curricular planning, enhancing school themed days with culinary contributions. She also regularly attends the pupils' Food Forums in order to hear their views.

The Dining Hall is made up of a modern kitchen, servery and a seating area. Meals are made from fresh ingredients, are nutritionally balanced and well presented. The daily lunch menu offers a three course meal which incorporates a wide choice: vegetarian soup of the day with sliced bread; a meat / fish option or vegetarian main dish with fresh vegetables; a selection of salads; a homemade dessert, fresh fruit and yoghurt. All foods are prepared and cooked on the premises. Halal meat is often available.

Every effort is made to adhere to the published menu. However, occasions may arise where substitutions must be made.

Nut Free School

At Eton End we fully embrace ‘Healthy Eating’. We do have from time to time, pupils who suffer from a severe allergy to nuts and so we are a nut-free school. Only fruit and vegetables are acceptable as break-time snacks.
