At Eton End we strive to promote the natural skills and abilities of our children. We believe that musical involvement is crucial in the breadth of experience provided and that it will add another dimension to your child’s education whilst facilitating learning in other subjects.
From the earliest stages, all children are involved in public performances ranging from the Nursery Production to our formal Carol Service in the elaborate setting of Eton Lower Chapel. The children regularly participate in local events such as Datchet Carols on the Green, entertaining our senior citizens and performing in St. Georges’s Hall, Windsor Castle.
All children have the opportunity to learn one or more instruments from our team of specialist instrumental teachers and many achieve success in Associated Board examinations. We currently offer complimentary tuition for Year 2 pupils in two orchestral instruments during class lessons. Our children also explore composition using ICT, theory and appreciation of music as well as playing ukuleles, recorders and keyboards. We offer a range of extra-curricular activities including Choir, Chamber Choir, Flute Group, Recorder Group, String Group and Bell Plates.
